Discounts On Outdoor Ceiling Fans
Shop online for great deals on discount outdoor ceiling fans.
One of the best things to install on your patio is a fan. And if you have a pretty good size patio space, maybe even more than one. Ceiling fans are usually the top choice although if you patio is open, you can also find great pedestal fans safe for outside use on the internet. All it really takes is a few clicks and searching a couple of websites and you can find yourself some great bargains to grab.
Outdoor ceiling fans are a lot like the indoor kind. But they are often bigger, with stronger motors and longer blades so they can stir the air around in a somewhat open space. Our daughter and her husband have a roof over their new patio and they have 2 outdoor ceiling fans installed. Before they had those up and running, it was pretty stuffy on their patio. It’s kind of interesting because those two fans have changed their patio from an OK place to sit and relax to a place where their kids are outside playing all the time.
They installed a couple of Casa Vieja Transitional outdoor mission ceiling fans, the ones that are 52 inches. They also got the light kits and their patio is quite bright enough for reading at nighttime. They were about 200.00 dollars for each one. My son-in-law is pretty handy so he installed them be himself, but you can always get an electrician to do that. I don’t know a tremendous amount about electrical wiring but it seemed pretty straight forward.
These patio ceiling fans are made well and look nice too. You can find a lot of other fan styles in outdoor ceiling fans, plenty enough I suspect for almost anyone’s decorating tastes. And the internet makes it so easy to find great discounts and sales on patio fans. If I had more space, I would buy more just because they are such a good price.
One of the things I found most interesting about searching for patio fans online was that they come in a variety of configurations of fan blades. Until I started searching, I had no idea that you could buy ceiling fans with one large blade or just a pair of them. I really always thought they only came with 3, 4, or 5 fanblades.
I already have mine, so I am not interested in getting more right now, but the truth is that even when you buy fans with heavy duty motors, they get worn after a number of years and you need to replace them. So maybe next time, Susan and I will go with a more contemporary look and get one of those fans with 2 blades.
I am not much of a fan (pun intended,
) of those hanging pull chains you see on some ceiling fans. And truth is if your patio gets some breeze, you might not want those pull chains hanging down and whipping around in the wind. But with a little bit of time and engineering, you can get the controls for the fans mounted on the wall so you can control the amount of light and the fan speed with just a couple of switches. That part I really like.
The way the world shops online for bargains these days, you don’t have to spend a lot of time hunting for new outdoor patio fans for your patio before you find great deals and bargains to choose from. I like that part too.
