Retractable Patio Awnings
Retractable Patio Awnings – The Perfect Patio Accessory
.
.
One of the best things about having a patio is being able to use it. Now before you go thinking that Patio Mike is going off his rocker again, what I mean is, being able to use it in all kinds of weather. And not having to stop using your patio just because it happens to be too sunny, or too rainy or too snowy or too anything at all that would interfere with enjoying the outdoors on your patio.
And if what you really want is to be able to use your patio no matter what the condition are outside, then you are going to need a patio cover.
And one of my favorite kinds is the retractable patio awning like the kind that Sunsetter makes.
You can simply build a permanent cover for your patio. People have been doing this for a long time, probably about as long as there have been patios. But the truth with those is, you are always in the shade or always in the sun depending on where you put your chaise lounge chair.
But with one of these sweet little retractable awning models, you can choose where and when you want to have the sunlight come in or the snow fall down – incredibly enough there are people who will sit outside on their patios when it’s snowing. And a retractable awning allows you the freedom to do just that. And it’s nice to have a choice.
The internet helps us, like you don’t know that already, by bringing us a huge choice of patio gear and when it comes to awnings that is no different.
Especially when patio season is beginning or ending, you can find a bunch of sites that are willing to give you great discounts on patio awnings just to earn your business. But when it comes to retractable awnings, you will need to watch for a couple of things in particular.
The first, of course, is quality of construction. Retractable awnings depend on being able to move and being able to sturdily support the weight of the canopy when it is extended. And to do those two jobs you need decent sized aluminum arms, either the bracket kind or the telescoping kind.
But they do have to be strong enough to support not only the weight of the awning canopy itself, but any rain or snow that might land on them and to stay upright, not blowing around in case of a strong wind. And the motors need to be heavy duty enough to extend and retract your patio canopy covering no matter what the weather conditions.
My choice in all of this is Sunsetter. They have a great reputation for making great retractable patio awnings and they are always offering a sale through the internet. As a matter of fact, it is hard to go researching and not run into a Sunsetter awning sale.
And that makes the perfect kind of purchase, great reputation, great quality and discounts – the trifecta that wins every time.
